Launch of the CARFORUM EPA Implementation (CAFEIN) Network


On May 18th, 2012, the CARIFORUM EPA Implementation (CAFEIN) Network was launched at the Trade and Investment Convention (TIC) in Port of Spain, Trinidad. This site was conceptualized by the Member States of CARIFORUM and funded by GIZ. The objective of the site is to be a central online presence for information on the CARIFORUM-EU EPA and its process of implementation across the region and other related issues. It is envisioned that this site will be a key information sharing tool for a wide range of regional and national stakeholders.

The site is made up of a public website for its general stakeholders and interactive platform (intranet) for its implementing Authorities for the EPA. The official website isĀ It is also connected to relevant social media tools, including

The Public Site is dedicated to raising awareness of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA and its process of implementation thus far. It contains the full text of the EPA and an overview of the EPA and showcases events and capacity building opportunities, news and success stories for all CARIFORUM member countries.

The intranet is restricted to CAFEIN EPA implementing Authorities and other key stakeholders. It is a virtual workshop and meeting place and facilitates harmonization among regional and national EPA implementing Authorities, establishes partnerships and expedites problem solving.
